Susan Rawding is a Master’s student in Bioengineering with a concentration in Nanomedicine. She earned her BS degree in Biology, with a focus in Microbiology and Biotechnology, from Delaware Valley University. Her research interests include glaucoma, tissue engineering, nanomedicine, biomaterials, and drug delivery, with a focus on developing innovative biomaterial-based strategies for targeted therapeutics and regenerative medicine. She is passionate about integrating biology and engineering to create advanced technologies that improve disease treatment and patient outcomes.

Susan’s work combines principles of biomaterials, tissue engineering, and nanomedicine to investigate novel approaches for ocular disease treatment and regenerative therapies. She is particularly interested in designing biomaterial and drug delivery platforms that enhance therapeutic efficacy while supporting tissue repair and regeneration. Through her research, she aims to contribute to the development of next-generation biomedical technologies that bridge fundamental science and clinical application. Originally from Brookfield, Connecticut, Susan enjoys playing lacrosse, training dogs, painting, drawing, and teaching in her free time.
