Mohak Patel is a Master’s student in Bioengineering who earned his BS in Bioengineering: Biosystems from the University of California, San Diego. His research interests lie at the intersection of implantable and wearable bioelectronics, regenerative medicine, biomedical instrumentation, and translational medical device development. He is particularly interested in designing technologies that enable advanced physiological monitoring, therapeutic intervention, and tissue regeneration.

Prior to joining Northeastern, Mohak conducted research on electromechanical systems for engineered cardiac tissues and human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes. His current interests include bioelectronic interfaces, wireless implantable systems, regenerative engineering, and next-generation medical devices capable of improving clinical outcomes and advancing biomedical research. Originally from San Diego, Mohak enjoys hiking, kayaking, ocean swimming, traveling, and exploring new restaurants and cafés. He currently serves as the Northeastern Bioengineering Graduate Student Council Master's Representative and is actively involved in supporting the graduate student community.
