Keerthi Atluri

Keerthi Atluri is a Research Assistant with a BS degree in Bioengineering and Biochemistry from Northeastern University. Her research interests include microfluidics, biomaterials, and tissue engineering, with a focus on developing advanced in vitro platforms that replicate complex physiological environments. She is passionate about leveraging engineering approaches to better understand disease mechanisms and create innovative tools for biomedical research and therapeutic development.

Keerthi’s work combines principles of bioengineering, cell biology, and microfabrication to design systems that enable more accurate modeling of human tissues and disease processes. She presented her research, “Trabecular Meshwork-On-a-Chip,” as an oral presentation at Northeastern RISE in Spring 2026, highlighting her contributions to the development of microphysiological models for ocular research. In recognition of her academic and research achievements, she received the Northeastern Summit PEAK Award in Fall 2025. Originally from Carmel, New York, Keerthi enjoys baking, walking, and playing tennis in her free time.
