Jackson Jewell is a PhD student in Bioengineering who earned his BS in Biomedical Engineering from Duquesne University. His research focuses on transient electronics, biomaterials, and regenerative medicine, with an emphasis on developing advanced biomedical technologies that support tissue repair and healing.

He is particularly interested in creating bioresorbable and biocompatible systems that can provide therapeutic benefit while minimizing long-term implantation risks. Jackson has been recognized for his accomplishments through the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) and the Northeastern Bioengineering Travel Award. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jackson enjoys photography, hiking, traveling, running, movies, and following Pittsburgh sports.
