Fabiana Amato is a PhD student in Bioengineering with a background in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida. Her research interests span tissue engineering, soft bioelectronics, organ-on-a-chip technologies, and microfluidic systems. She is passionate about developing advanced in vitro models that better replicate human physiology and provide improved platforms for studying disease and evaluating new therapies.

Fabiana's work combines engineering design, biomaterials, and cellular systems to create next-generation biomedical technologies with translational potential. She is particularly interested in leveraging microscale engineering approaches to improve tissue function, model complex biological interactions, and advance personalized medicine. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Fabiana brings a global perspective to her research and enjoys collaborating across disciplines to address challenging biomedical problems.
