Chidera is a Master’s student in Bioengineering with a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Biomedical Engineering from South Dakota State University. Her research interests include implantable and wearable medical device design, tissue engineering, and glaucoma, with a focus on developing innovative technologies that improve disease diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment. She is passionate about combining engineering principles with biomedical science to create translational solutions that address complex healthcare challenges.

Chidera’s work integrates concepts from mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, and tissue engineering to design medical devices that interface seamlessly with biological systems. She is particularly interested in developing next-generation implantable and wearable technologies that advance ocular health and regenerative medicine while improving patient outcomes. Originally from Rivers State, Nigeria, Chidera enjoys singing, playing musical instruments, traveling, baking, laughing, and playing tennis in her free time.
