Bharathi Yelem is a Master’s student in Bioengineering with a BS degree in Biotechnology. Her research interests include nuclear lamins, molecular biology, and tissue engineering, with a focus on understanding the molecular mechanisms that regulate cellular structure, function, and tissue homeostasis. She is passionate about applying biological and engineering principles to investigate how cellular organization influences health and disease.

Bharathi’s work combines principles of molecular biology, cell biology, and tissue engineering to study the role of nuclear architecture in cellular behavior and the development of advanced biological models for biomedical research. Through her research, she aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of cellular function and support the development of innovative regenerative and therapeutic strategies. Originally from Vijayawada, India, Bharathi enjoys reading, watching thrillers and true crime documentaries, and exploring new matcha cafés in her free time.
