Aadhira Nair is a Master’s student in Bioengineering with a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from the Vellore Institute of Technology. Her research interests include microfluidics, organ-on-a-chip technologies, and glaucoma, with a focus on developing advanced in vitro platforms that can replicate complex physiological and disease environments. She is passionate about leveraging bioengineering approaches to better understand disease mechanisms and accelerate the development of more effective therapeutic strategies.

Aadhira’s work combines principles of biotechnology, tissue engineering, and microscale engineering to create physiologically relevant models for biomedical research. She is particularly interested in using organ-on-a-chip systems to investigate ocular diseases and improve the translation of laboratory discoveries into clinical applications. Originally from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Aadhira enjoys cooking, baking, traveling, hosting gatherings, and playing basketball. Through her research, she aims to contribute to the development of innovative technologies that advance both fundamental biological understanding and human health.
